Ştiu că sînt două cuvinte  banale. Am remarcat însă că la noi, sînt trecute foarte uşor cu vederea iar semnificaţia lor are puţină importanţă. În practică.

SHOULD înseamnă că este opţional. Recomandă.

SHALL înseamnă că este obligatoriu. Impune.

Şi voi exemplifica.

În ISO 27001, enunţurile ce vizează ISMS îl conţin pe “SHALL”.

În ISO 27002 – Code of practice, enunţurile îl conţin pe “SHOULD”.

Altfel spus, este la libertatea fiecăruia maniera de implementare a controlului. Standardul impune doar obligativitatea existenţei acestuia!

Ei bine, mi-ai dat de lucru. De ce ? Pentru ca folosesc limba asta in mediu de business si nu tin minte cand am folosit ultima data cuvantul „shall”. Folosesc destul de frecvent „must”.

 Ce zice gogu … multe. Parerile sunt impartite. Un lucru e clar : SHOULD e folosit pentru a „recomanda” anumite lucruri. Cuvantul e foarte prezent in vorbirea curenta, ma refer aici la cei care nu sunt nativi EN. SHALL – impune. E o mica problema, e un cuvant care genereaza confuzie printre cei care nu sunt nativi, prin simpla sa asemanare cu Should. Din aceste motive eu prefer MUST.
